Start 1.5–2 years ahead
The US academic year usually starts in August. The best time to start the process is about one and a half to two years before you plan to begin your studies.
Year one: profile and tests
Assess your level, prepare your profile and video, and plan your English test and, if needed, the SAT.
Year two: coaches, offers and visa
Contact coaches, compare offers, sign with your chosen college, then apply for the student visa and prepare to travel.
Already at university?
It is not too late. Athletes who are already studying at home can also continue their studies in the USA with a sports scholarship.
