1. Assess your level honestly

Start with your results, rankings and stats. US coaches look for athletes who can help the team, so realistic goals save time and lead to better offers.

2. Prepare your athlete profile

A short profile with your results, a highlight video, grades and English level is what coaches look at first. It must be clear, up to date and easy to open.

3. Contact the right coaches

There are around 4,000 colleges in the USA. The key is to contact coaches whose team level, location and academic profile match you — not to send hundreds of random emails.

4. Tests, documents and the offer

Most colleges need an English test and school transcripts, and NCAA colleges need registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center. When offers arrive, compare the scholarship amount, studies, team and location before you sign.
