How do I get a track & field scholarship in the USA?

What do college coaches look for?
In track & field, coaches mainly look at personal bests and progression by event, plus your grades and English level.
Which divisions offer athletic scholarships?
NCAA Division I and II, NAIA and junior colleges (NJCAA) can offer athletic scholarships. NCAA Division III offers academic aid only.
When should I start?
Ideally about a year before you finish school. The earlier we start, the better the result.
